Attendance and Discipline



1. Students shall be diligent in study, observe the school rules and regulations, successfully fulfilled their study tasks such as attending the require course, experiments and field practice and so forth, in conformity with the teaching schedules as forth by both the school ans the teachers.

2. Students who cannot attend the required learning activities because of health problems or other business interruptions must ask for leave and get the approval from the office of the college or Foreign Student Office in advance. Generally, no leave will be granted during seasons of enrollment and registration and examination including make-up, except for sick leaves. One can only ask for a leave when it is very necessary, all such requests have to be presented to the Foreign Student Office or office of the college one is studying in. During examination season, if a self-supporting general trainee studying Chinese language has to ask for a leave, the approval has to come from the director of the Center for Chinese Language And Culture (CCLC).

3. Students should study in accordance with the academic calendar and should not try to ask for a leave to travel during the semester. The total days of absence from the class one can take must not exceed fifteen (15) days in a semester.

4. If a scholarship student would travel home, to a third country, Macao or Hong Kong temporarily during summer or winter break, he/she should seek to get approval from the university and have made exit and reentry arrangements before his/her departure.

5. Students who are absent from the class without permission or come back to school beyond the time allowed will be treated as missing the class on purpose. Accordingly, he/she will receive due disciplinary penalties: criticizing, warning, serious warning, demerit or probation, according to order of severity of violation. Those who are absent from class for more than sixty class-hours must re-start the course over again. Those who refuse to mend their ways despite repeated disciplinary actions would be ordered to withdraw from the school.
