1.
Students who observe Chinese laws and the university regulations,
study hard, chive academic excellence, and show good conducts,
will be praised and awarded by the university. Notification of
awards may be sent to the Embassies or home institutions of the
students.
2. A student may receive a punishment such as
warning, serious warning, demerit, probation, and dismissal of
student¡¯s status, if he/she breaks Chinese laws or violates school
regulations, such as body fights with others, drink excessively
(alcoholisms), drug taking, mobs, damages public properties, disturbs
public orders, and other bad conducts. One who receives the punishment
of probation will remain in university under surveillance. If
significant improvement has been made during the probation of
one year, the student may be allowed to continue his/her study
in the university. Those who refuse to mend their ways would be
ordered to withdraw from the university. All punishments will
be announced over the university and written notices will be sent
to the students¡¯ embassies or consulates home employers, schools
or organizations concerned.
3.
Students who violate Chinese laws, on top of receiving punishments
from the university, may be further charged and prosecuted by
the Chinese judicial authorities.
4. Students are positively encouraged to take
part in various kinds of sports and cultural activities. Those
who are keen on such activities and have brought glories to the
international students will be praised and awarded and their embassies
in China will be formally informed.
