1. Upon arrival, each teacher (including those who
accompany them here) is requested to fill in each blank of the Temporary
Residence Form for Foreigners.
2. Each
teacher shall check the inventory of furniture, facilities and daily
necessities in her/his room, contact GXU to sign the inventory within one week, and pay RMB 500 Yuan cash pledge.
In case there is any difference from the inventory, please contact
the International Exchange Department (hereafter referred as IED).
All the daily necessities will be supplied once only.
3. On
moving into the apartment, each teacher shall check the electric
meter accompanied by a staff from IED. The electric meter will be checked on around 20th of each month by staff from GXU. Each month 300 Kilo Watt
of electricity will be provided for each teacher(Degrees can`t be accumulated.). The teacher
shall pay for the extra part if s/he exceeds using the
said amount and the money will be deducted from the salary.
4. Guangxi University will supply a bicycle to each teacher the day after the teacher arrives (weekends excluded).Staff of the university will call to inform the foreign teacher of the time and place for choosing bike.
5. If
something in the apartment needs to be repaired, the teacher may
fill in the Repair Request Form and put it into the notice box.
Our staff will handle it in a timely manner.
6 . Guangxi University is responsible for adjusting the computers in the first week and bicycles in the first month .After the time mentioned, the user should be responsible for the problems with the computer and the repairs with the bicycle as well as repairing fee.
7. Take
good care of all the things in the apartment. Please do not damage
the wall by scribbling or posting things on it. The teacher who
causes the damages shall compensate any damages, loss or breakages
according to the inventory list he/she has signed. Penalty must be paid at the end of the school year after a room inspection has been held.
8. IED
shall not be responsible for the loss of personal property. It is
suggested that doors should be locked when no one is in even for
a short while.
9. Take
precautions against fire. Please unplug the electrical appliances
when leaving for vacation. In thundering weather, please unplug
them too, esp. the computer and TV. Any damages caused by inappropriate
handling of the appliances shall be compensated.
10. Staff
assigned by IED has the right to enter the apartments under such
special circumstances as water pipes being broken, fire and unusual
sound etc., if no one is in or no one answers the door.
11. No
pets are allowed in the apartment or in/around the building. No
odds and ends are allowed to put or store in the corridors or common
areas of the building. Public properties or equipment are for public
use only and shall not be taken into any teacher¡¯s apartment.
12. Please
inform the IED of your departure date at least 2 weeks ahead of
time so that IED can arrange the issues such as settling down telephone
bills, checking rooms, returning bicycles etc. Before departure, please put the articles of the rooms back in their original places and clean the rooms for room inspection. Bicycles should be returned and telephone bills should be settled on inspection day. Keys should be left in the room or handed in to the staff of IED on the day the teacher leaves. IED has the right to handle any belongings left in the rooms after the tenants leave.
