Any student who cannot continue his/her study because of health
problem or private affairs may apply to suspend their study. Generally,
a student is allowed to suspend their study for within a year.
A scholarship student, who requests a suspension, must have his/her
embassy or home institution to write to China Ministry of Education
or the university to seek the approval. A suspended student, if
requests to resume study, have to made a written application to
the university two months in advance. He/she shall not be accepted
into the school without approval. Expenses incurred during the
suspension period shall be borne by the student.
2. Scholarship students, after enrolled into
their programs, are generally not permitted to change their programs
or transfer to another institution. In special circumstances,
change or transfer of program of students has to request at least
2 week prior to the commencement of the new2 semester. For scholarship
students, formal requests from the students¡¯ Embassy in China
have to be made to Ministry of Education of China. The change
or transfer of the program is allowed after the request has been
approved. If a self-supporting student wants to change a program,
he/she has to terminate his/her study and restart from the first
year of the program.
3. Self-supporting Chinese learning students
who wish to continue their study in the university after completion
of the scheduled study program, shall make application to FSO
at least 45 days before the school period concludes. If approved,
they may go through procedures for the extension.
