Recently, the China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE) announced the results of the Higher General Education Accreditation for International Students in China (HGEAIS) for the second half of 2024. Guangxi University passed the accreditation with a "B" grade certification, valid for six years.
HGEAIS is a professional evaluation activity conducted by CEAIE, an officially recognized educational service accreditation institution. It is based on regulations including the Administrative Measures for the Enrollment and Cultivation of International Students by Schools and the Notice on Issuing the Higher Education Quality Standards for International Students in China (Trial). HGEAIS safeguards the quality of international education in China and provides professional support for government decision-making. It also serves as a valuable reference for international students when selecting universities in China, contributing to China’s international education efforts in the new era.
In this round of accreditation, GXU achieved a "B" grade, one grade higher than in the previous accreditation. This advancement reflects GXU's progress in ongoing internationalization efforts under the 14th Five-Year Plan and the Ten Major Projects for Achieving Comprehensive Excellence at Guangxi University. It also demonstrates the initial success of ongoing reforms in the education and teaching of international students.
