On February 11th, the 2026 Spring Festival Meeting between Party Committee Secretaries of China's Guangxi and five Vietnamese provinces and cities—Quang Ninh, Lang Son, Cao Bang, Tuyen Quang, and Hai Phong—was held in Nanning, Guangxi, China. Following the event, a delegation of over 30 members, including Quan Minh Cuong, Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, and Phan Thang An, Secretary of the Cao Bang Provincial Party Committee, visited Guangxi University to tour the former site of Nanning Yucai School. The delegation included representatives from the five Vietnamese localities: Le Anh Dung, Vice Chairman of the Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee; Dinh Huu Hoc, Standing Vice Chairman of the Lang Son Provincial People's Committee; Hoang Van Thach, Vice Chairman of the Cao Bang Provincial People's Committee; Hoang Gia Long, Vice Chairman of the Tuyen Quang Provincial People's Committee; and Hoang Minh Cuong, Vice Chairman of the Hai Phong City People's Committee. Vice President Yu Wenjin accompanied the delegation during the visit.

At the Grand Auditorium of Guangxi University (formerly a classroom building of Nanning Yucai School), the delegation listened to an introduction to the institution's history and viewed a photo exhibition themed "Ties of Yucai, Bonds of China-Vietnam Friendship." They gained an in-depth understanding of Guangxi University's educational exchanges with Vietnam in the new era and the cooperative achievements attained. The delegation highly commended the historic contributions of Nanning Yucai School in training a large number of revolutionary and nation-building personnel for Vietnam. They fully acknowledged Guangxi University's efforts in carrying forward the profound historical legacy of "Ties of Yucai, Bonds of China-Vietnam Friendship" and the fruitful results achieved in educational exchanges and cooperation with Vietnam. The delegation expressed hope for continued deepening of collaboration with Guangxi University in areas such as talent cultivation and youth exchanges, and extended a sincere invitation for university leaders to lead a delegation to visit Vietnam.
In the early 1950s, at the request of President Ho Chi Minh and the Vietnam Workers' Party, and with the agreement of Chairman Mao and the Chinese government, Vietnam established a revolutionary cadre training school in China. Nanning Yucai School was operated by the Vietnamese side for instruction, with the Chinese side providing logistical support. The school was fully relocated back to Vietnam by the summer of 1958, having trained nearly 7,000 students. It became a cradle for Vietnamese revolutionary cadres, embodying the profound "comrades plus brothers" friendship between China and Vietnam.
In recent years, Guangxi University has focused on building a China-Vietnam community with a shared future that carries strategic significance. The university has strengthened practical cooperation across multiple fields, including Marxist theory research, promotion of agricultural, forestry, and animal husbandry technologies, AI education, and exploration of revolutionary heritage resources. It has dispatched nearly 50 groups of faculty and students to Vietnam for exchanges and studies, recruited 12 Vietnamese faculty members, and hosted seven ASEAN Young Distinguished Visiting Scientists from Vietnam. Taking the 75th anniversary of China-Vietnam diplomatic relations and the "China-Vietnam Year of People-to-People Exchanges" in 2025 as an opportunity, the university has engaged in exchanges with 26 renowned Vietnamese institutions. Leveraging the former site of Nanning Yucai School, Guangxi University has successfully organized events including the China-Vietnam University Student Summer Camp and an International Student AI Study Camp, attracting over 120 students and teachers from 14 institutions including Vietnam. It has hosted nearly 30 events, including the "Following in Uncle Ho's Footsteps" Red Study Tour for Vietnamese youth. The university has received 28 Vietnamese delegations totaling 310 visitors, including Deputy Prime Minister of Vietnam Le Van Thanh, continuously strengthening traditional China-Vietnam friendship and writing new chapters of the "comrades plus brothers" red bond in the new era.
