2025 Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan Talent Recruitment Program

In order to attract outstanding science and technology innovation talent from Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan regions to participate in technological innovation in Guangxi and to foster scientific and technological exchanges and cooperation with these regions, the Department of Science and Technology of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region is launching the 2025 Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan Talent Recruitment Program (hereinafter referred to as the Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan Talent Program). This initiative provides support for distinguished science and technology innovation talents from Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan to engage in collaborative research in Guangxi for periods of either 6 or 12 months. The program offers living allowances and research work subsidies for eligible participants.

I. Eligibility Criteria

1. Residency and Age Requirements: Applicants must be residents of Hong Kong, Macau, or Taiwan and hold a valid Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macao Residents or a Mainland Travel Permit for Taiwan Residents. Applicants must be under the age of 50 (based on the application date).

2. Academic and Professional Experience: Applicants must have relevant professional experience in the field (at least 2 years of related work experience), or possess a degree in a relevant field (with at least 3 years of related work experience).

3. Employment Status: Applicants must currently be employed at a university, research institute, or enterprise in Hong Kong, Macau, or Taiwan, outside Guangxi, or abroad, in a research capacity related to the relevant fields. Those already working in Guangxi must have been employed by a university, research institute, or enterprise within the region after January 1, 2024.

II. Funding Objectives and Standards

Funding Duration: Applicants can choose between 6 months or 12 months, depending on the project’s needs.

Funding Standards: The project provides two types of subsidies:

Living Allowance: 15,000 RMB per month (pre-tax).

Research Work Subsidy: 25,000 RMB for a 6-month project, and 50,000 RMB for a 12-month project.
