On June 17th, a student delegation from the University of Montana in the United States visited Guangxi University (GXU) carrying out exchanges with teachers and students of GXU and experiencing traditional Chinese culture. Prof. Feng Jiaxun, Vice President and Provost, welcomed the delegation.

Prof. Feng Jiaxun introduced the general information of GXU. He noted that Guangxi and Montana State are sister regions/states, and Guangxi University and the University of Montana have always maintained friendly exchanges. The visit of the delegation will further deepen mutual understanding between the two sides, build a dialogue platform for Chinese and American students, promote friendship among young students, and lay a solid foundation for in-depth cooperation between the two universities in education, research, cultural exchanges and other aspects. He emphasized that the foundation of state-to-state relations lies in people-to-people affinity, and people-to-people affinity comes from mutual understanding. He hoped that the students from the University of Montana would maintain connections with GXU after returning to the U.S., actively promote friendly exchanges between the two universities, and become a bridge for friendly cooperation between Chinese and American universities.
The delegation expressed gratitude for the warm reception and thoughtful arrangements of GXU. Teachers and students were amazed by GXU’s long history, profound cultural heritage, and remarkable educational achievements. The beautiful campus environment and good international atmosphere left a deep impression on everyone. The visit to GXU has become an unforgettable and wonderful memory of their trip to China. They will bring back the deep friendship from GXU to the University of Montana and become ambassadors of friendship for Sino-U.S. exchanges.
