On July 26, the 2025 World Artificial Intelligence Conference opened in Shanghai under the theme "Global Solidarity in the AI Era." Liu Xiang, Vice President of Guangxi University, attended the conference upon invitation.

During the conference, Liu Xiang visited the AI exhibition area, with focused attention on educational application models and intelligent hardware displays. He engaged in in-depth exchanges with exhibitors to identify optimal solutions for smart campus development. Liu also attended the "Connect China-ASEAN: AI for Shared Future" Ecosystem Forum co-hosted by the Guangxi Big Data Bureau and Runjian Co., Ltd., where he witnessed the inaugural release of Runjian's Quche AI Ecosystem Strategy and operations and maintenance large model products. The forum served as a platform to discuss global AI trends, explore new mechanisms for regional computing power collaboration, and strategize new pathways for the university's AI development.
Reportedly, this year's conference featured "model applications + embodied intelligence + intelligent hardware" as its core themes, with the exhibition area exceeding 70,000 square meters for the first time. It brought together over 800 enterprises showcasing more than 40 large models, 50+ AI terminal products, over 60 types of intelligent robots, and 80+ groundbreaking products making their "global debut" or "China premiere," making it the largest-scale event to date. Exhibitors and exhibits covered hot industries including model applications, intelligent agents (Agents), embodied intelligence & humanoid robots, intelligent hardware, AI+AR glasses, AI chips, and intelligent computing & AI infrastructure.
