On September 17, the 2025 China-ASEAN Economic and Trade Cooperation Dialogue was held at the Nanning International Convention and Exhibition Center and Guangxi University. The event was co-organized by the China-ASEAN Expo Secretariat, GXU, University Tunku Abdul Rahman (Malaysia), University of Sarawak (Malaysia), and the China International Economic Cooperation Society. It was undertaken by the China-ASEAN School of Economics/Economics School/China-ASEAN School of Financial Cooperation and the China-ASEAN Research Institute of Guangxi University. The event was chaired by Li Guozhong, Secretary of the University Party Committee.

The event, themed "Digital-Intelligent Symbiosis, Connecting the Future: The New Digital Economy Ecosystem of China-ASEAN and New Opportunities of FTA 3.0," brought together experts and scholars from ASEAN countries and China. Through keynote speeches and roundtable discussions, they engaged in in-depth exchanges and discussions on various topics, including new opportunities for China-ASEAN financial cooperation under new circumstances, China-ASEAN industrial cooperation (artificial intelligence) and industrial chain construction, as well as the development and implementation of the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area 3.0. A series of forward-looking and practical viewpoints and suggestions were proposed. During the event, the "China-ASEAN Economic and Trade Cooperation Outlook Report 2025-2026" was officially released.

More than 200 participants, including government officials, experts, scholars, business leaders, and entrepreneurs from the economic and trade sectors of China and ASEAN countries, attended the event. They discussed the major issues of China-ASEAN economic and trade cooperation and development, aiming to build an academic research forefront for China-ASEAN economic and trade collaboration, a think tank platform, and a platform for information exchange among government, industry, academia, and research. The event provided intellectual support for the implementation of the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area 3.0.
