GXU Achieves Excellent Results in the 11th Chinese Undergraduate Physics Experiment Tournament

From November 21st to 24th, the 11th Chinese Undergraduate Physics Experiment Tournament was held at Central South University. Demonstrating outstanding innovative capability and practical proficiency, Guangxi University's team excelled amidst intense competition. They distinguished themselves from 750 finalist teams nationwide, achieving excellent results: a total of 4 National First Prizes, 1 Second Prize, 1 Third Prize, and 1 Merit Prize. Additionally, the university was honored with the Outstanding Organization Award.

Guided by four authoritative institutions including the Physics Discipline Group of the National Demonstration Center for Experimental Education of Higher Education Institutions, and hosted by organizations such as the Chinese Undergraduate Physics Experiment Tournament Organizing Committee and the National Research Association for Experimental Physics Teaching in Higher Education, this year's competition attracted 3,260 teams from 722 universities across the country. Ultimately, over 2,600 teachers and students from 331 universities gathered in Changsha for the on-site finals, setting new historical records for both the scale of the event and the level of participation.

The fruitful outcomes achieved in this competition fully reflect the significant effectiveness of our university in cultivating top-notch innovative talents in physics. Consistently aiming to "solidify foundations, strengthen practice, and stimulate innovation," GXU has built a multi-level, open physics experiment teaching platform. Through measures such as optimizing curriculum design, expanding comprehensive experimental projects, and promoting the integration of research and teaching, it comprehensively fosters students' experimental skills and scientific literacy. In daily teaching, the faculty team emphasizes guiding students to independently design experiments, analyze phenomena, and solve complex problems, laying a solid foundation for the incubation of innovative projects and the enhancement of practical capabilities in competitions.
