Delegation from Bac Giang Agriculture and Forestry University, Vietnam, Visited GXU

On January 13, a delegation led by Ms. Mai Thi Huyen, Vice President of Bac Giang Agriculture and Forestry University (Vietnam), visited GXU for discussions and exchanges. Mr. Feng Jiaxun, former Vice President of GXU, attended and chaired the meeting.

Mr. Feng noted that Guangxi and Vietnam are connected by mountains and rivers, geographically close, and share similar climates and agricultural planting conditions, giving us natural advantages for cooperation. Upholding a concept of coordinated development across all disciplines, GXU is highly aligned with the diverse educational positioning and development needs of Bac Giang Agriculture and Forestry University. We are willing to carry out in-depth cooperation in areas such as joint talent cultivation, collaborative research projects, shared course resources, and joint faculty development. We aim to advance pragmatic initiatives including short-term study programs for students and mutual recognition of credits, while also exploring long-term pathways such as interdisciplinary joint problem-solving and industry-education integration for coordinated development. Through resource sharing and complementary strengths, we hope to jointly contribute to China–Vietnam educational exchanges and the modernization of regional agriculture.

Ms. Mai expressed gratitude for our warm reception and briefly introduced the basic situation of Bac Giang Agriculture and Forestry University. She stated that the university focuses on cultivating application-oriented talent and hopes to take this exchange as an opportunity to deepen cooperation with Guangxi University in multiple fields. Proposed initiatives include student exchange programs between the two universities; advancing mutual recognition of undergraduate credits and application-oriented course learning; implementing faculty development programs such as doctoral training and visiting scholar exchanges; and conducting joint research collaborations in fields such as agricultural and forestry sciences and biology, to achieve mutual benefits and win–win results.

At the meeting, both sides conducted in-depth discussions on talent cultivation, research collaboration, and mutual recognition of credits.
