From June 2 to June 6, Guangxi University (GXU) participated in the 2026 “Study in Guangxi” International Education Fair. Yu Wenjin, Vice President of the University, attended the event.

During the fair, GXU engaged in in-depth practical exchanges with local institutions and held extensive discussions with universities including the National University of Laos, Universiti Putra Malaysia, National University of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur University of Science and Technology, Universiti Malaysia Perlis, and Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology.

On behalf of GXU, Vice President Yu Wenjin signed an inter-university cooperation agreement with Universiti Putra Malaysia. Both parties agreed to continue deepening cooperation in characteristic agricultural and forestry disciplines, and to enhance academic exchanges, collaborative research, and joint talent cultivation. He also visited the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Malaysia and the Ministry of Higher Education of Malaysia, and held talks with the Education Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Laos, during which he presented GXU’s development achievements and its ASEAN-oriented internationalization strategy.

The International Education Fair was organized by the Department of Education of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, with events held in Vientiane, Laos, and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. GXU set up a dedicated exhibition booth and received over 800 visits from local students, parents, and education professionals. Through graphic displays, video presentations, on-site Q&A sessions, and distribution of promotional materials, the university comprehensively showcased its academic strengths, talent cultivation programs, and international development achievements, with detailed introductions to its international student training system and scholarship programs, actively attracting high-quality students from ASEAN countries. During the Education Fair, GXU designated three renowned local secondary schools as overseas high-quality student source bases, further expanding its international student recruitment channels and establishing a regularized platform to attract more outstanding overseas students to study at Guangxi University.
