The 8th Annual Conference of the Evaluation Methods and Applications Subcommittee of the Chinese Society of Optimization, Overall Planning, and Economic Mathematics Held in Nanning

From May 17 to 18, the 8th Annual Conference of the Evaluation Methods and Applications Subcommittee of the Chinese Society of Optimization, Overall Planning, and Economic Mathematics was held in Nanning. The event was co-hosted by the Evaluation Methods and Applications Subcommittee and Guangxi University.

The conference focused on the theme “Innovation in Evaluation Methods and Application Scenarios for High-Quality Development”. Expert representatives delivered nine keynote presentations on cutting-edge topics including “Emergency Management Performance Evaluation Based on the ‘Crisis-Opportunity’ Paradox Perspective”, “Financial Research under the Healthy China Strategy”, and “Valuation and Benefit Distribution Mechanisms of Data Elements”. The conference featured a special Dean's Forum for Economics and Management disciplines. Wang Yingming, former Dean of the School of Economics and Management at Fuzhou University; Liu Wenbin, Vice President of Nanfang College Guangzhou; Wu Jie, Vice Dean of the School of Management at the University of Science and Technology of China; and Xie Rui, Vice Dean of the School of Economics and Trade at Hunan University, engaged in in-depth discussions on how evaluation in economics and management disciplines can drive new quality productive forces and high-quality development, offering suggestions for the advancement of the field. The conference also featured eight parallel sub-forums, showcasing and reviewing nearly 60 accepted papers in areas such as DEA method innovations and applications, public policy and social service evaluations, and environmental and energy efficiency evaluations. Eight papers received the conference’s High-Quality Paper Award.

Nearly 200 participants attended the conference, including heads of the Institute of Scientific Research and the School of Business, Guangxi University, as well as experts, scholars, faculty members and students from universities in China.
