GXU Hosts the 2026 "Wisdom in Mechanics" International Open Day

On January 22nd, GXU hosted the "Wisdom in Mechanics" International Open Day at the School of Mechanical Engineering. Through cutting-edge technology displays and immersive, hands-on experiences, the event showcased the development achievements of Chinese manufacturing and technological innovation to international students currently studying at the university.

In the smart workshop, international students closely observed a highly efficient and precise modern intelligent manufacturing production line. At the brain-computer interface experience area, students personally experienced how to control a robotic dog's movements through "mind power," eliciting repeated exclamations of wonder at this fusion of artificial intelligence and human cognition. In the 3D printing workshop, students tried out the technology, participating in the hands-on creation of unique tech souvenirs to take home. During the autonomous programming challenge session, students actively attempted to write code and successfully achieved real-time control of sound-activated cars. This series of highly interactive and tech-focused activities allowed international students to deepen their understanding of cutting-edge fields like artificial intelligence and advanced manufacturing through hands-on practice.

Wang Nanzhi, a Vietnamese master's student majoring in mechanical engineering, said, "This was not only an interesting tech journey, but it also gave me a direct feeling for the rapid development of China in high-end manufacturing and artificial intelligence, and it has provided me with a lot of research ideas."
