Guangxi University Holds the 2025 Commencement

On June 24, Guangxi University held the commencement for the Class of 2025—comprising 9,773 graduates (including 5,013 undergraduates, 4,538 masters students, and 222 doctoral students)—at the West Campus Sports Ground.


Prof. Dr. Li Guozhong, Secretary of the CPC Guangxi  University Committee and Chair of the Guangxi University Degree Evaluation Committee, Prof. Dr. Li Jibing, Party Building Liaison of the Ministry of Education, Prof. Dr. Zheng Jielian, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, PhD Supervisor of the School of Civil Engineering and Architecture, Prof. Dr. Wang Shuangfei, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, PhD Supervisor of the School of Light Industry and Food Engineering, university leaders, members of the University Degree Evaluation Committee, renowned experts, faculty and alumni representatives attended the ceremony, which was presided over by Mr. Liu Xiang, Vice President of Guangxi University.  


On behalf of Guangxi University, Prof. Dr. Li Guozhong extended warm congratulations to all graduates and their families, expressed gratitude to the faculty and staff for their dedicated teaching and mentorship, and thanked all sectors of society for their enduring support of the university’s development. He highly commended the students for their outstanding achievements in scientific research, academic competitions, volunteer services, and campus governance, praising their sense of responsibility in growing with the university.  


At this farewell moment, Li Guozhong shared three hopes for the graduates: First, patriotism should always lead the aspirations--stand firm in beliefs and shoulder the mission in building a strong nation. Never forget to carry forward the revolutionary spirit of Guangxi University, nurture a deep sense of national pride, and unify love for the country, determination to rejuvenate the country, and actions to serve the country together. Remember to integrate dreams into the grand endeavor of Chinese modernization, take root among the Chinese people and dedicate to the country, crafting a no-regret youth journey. Second, stand firm on the ground of practical actions--persevere and advance courageously through challenges. Young people should aspire to be individuals with a pragmatic spirit and the ability to solve real-world problems. Keep ready for long-term efforts, face difficulties bravely, work diligently, and dare to venture into grassroots areas with tough conditions, frontlines of national construction projects, and cutting-edge research. Hone skills and grow through experience, using hard work and outstanding achievements to create a remarkable life. Third, fuel the life journey with innovation--be brave to explore and scale new heights in the pursuit of dreams. Young people should unleash imagination and creativity, ignite passion for innovation, and tap into potential. Break free from conventions and practice boldly. Accumulate experience through innovation and achieve meaningful results. Unceasingly discover, innovate, and advance--let innovation be the strong wind filling the sails of youths journey.
