On November 15, the 2025 4th Guangxi International Students' Chinese Character Dictation Competition and Chinese Culture Experience Activity concluded at Guangxi Normal University.  The activity was guided by the Language and Character Work Committee of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and the Department of Education of the Autonomous Region, hosted by the Professional Committee for International Student Education and Management of the Guangxi Higher Education Association, and undertaken by Guangxi Normal University.

The competition included two events: the individual competition and the group competition. In strict accordance with the requirements of The Standards of Chinese Language Proficiency for International Chinese Education, it comprehensively assessed the contestants' mastery of Chinese characters corresponding to their proficiency levels and their writing skills. The seven international students selected by GXU, relying on their solid Chinese character writing skills and stable on-site performance, achieved excellent results in both individual and group events. Among them, Meng Qingchuan (Vietnamese nationality) and Li Meiyi (Malaysian nationality) won the first prize in Group C of the individual competition; Ye Xuerun (American nationality) and Ye Jiaxuan (Malaysian nationality) won the first prize in Group B of the individual competition; Nguyen Thuy Quynh (Vietnamese nationality) won the second prize in Group B of the individual competition; Chen Mingqi (Malaysian nationality) won the second prize in Group A of the individual competition; and Hu Guangshan (Myanmar nationality) won the Excellence Award in Group A of the individual competition. In the group competition, the team composed of three students—Li Meiyi, Chen Mingqi, and Ye Jiaxuan—won the second prize in the group competition.
