Recently, a delegation led by Lee Sze Wei, President of TAR UMT(Malaysia), visited GXU. Yu Wenjin, Vice President, met with the delegation and chaired the exchange meeting.
Lee Sze Wei expressed gratitude for the warm reception from our university. He stated that TAR UMT(Malaysia) highly values establishing cooperative relations with Guangxi University and deeply appreciates our university's disciplinary strengths and development achievements. The purpose of this visit is to formally initiate collaboration between the two institutions, with the hope of soon signing an inter-university cooperation agreement to advance practical cooperation in areas such as faculty and student exchanges, joint scientific research, and academic resource sharing, particularly in-depth collaboration in cutting-edge interdisciplinary fields such as artificial intelligence and digital technology.
Yu Wenjin extended a warm welcome to the delegation. He emphasized that the university places great importance on the partnership with TAR UMT(Malaysia), noting that the two institutions share common visions and complementary strengths in fields such as engineering technology, information technology, and artificial intelligence, with broad prospects for cooperation. He expressed hope that this exchange would serve as an opportunity to further deepen the collaborative relationship between both sides and jointly contribute to regional talent cultivation and technological innovation.
During the meeting, both parties engaged in in-depth discussions on the aforementioned directions of cooperation and reached preliminary consensus.
Following the meeting, the delegation visited the School of Computer, Electronics and Information/AI School of our university.
Representatives from the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange and the School of Computer, Electronics and Information of our university attended the meeting.
