Recently, the 8th "Golden Thrush" Drama Festival was held at the China National Theatre. The production The World of Skits, created and performed by students and faculty from our school, was honored with three awards: the "Special Outstanding Production Award," the "Excellent Instructor Award," and the title of "Shining Star."

The World of Skits focuses on the often-overlooked details of everyday life, using a humorous approachto present contemporary college students’ keen observations and deep reflections on society. Based on the widely loved art form of skits, the play actively explores the boundary between drama and real life, embodying the creative concept of "small yet beautiful" works. It vividly interprets the artistic truth that "art originates from life but transcends it." With its unique creative concept, outstanding stage performance, and profound thematic content, the production received unanimous praise from the judges.

It is reported that this year's drama festival was jointly hosted by the China National Theatre, the China Cultural Management Association, and the Chinese Society for Children's Literature Studies, and organized by the Performing Arts Committee of the China Cultural Management Association. The event brought together over 1,200 performers from 28 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities across the country, presenting more than 120 outstanding productions. These included picture book plays, puppet shows, musicals, dramas, and bilingual theatre performances. The festival featured not only adaptations and reinterpretations of classic plays, but also many original works focusing on revolutionary themes, intangible cultural heritage, ethnic and folk arts, and regional cultural characteristics. Some productions also integrated modern technological elements, fully showcasing the rich creativity and deep cultural understanding of contemporary youth.
